Social Welfare
The Department of Social Welfare playing a key role for developing in the field of Child and Women Welfare, Welfare of Disable Person and Welfare of Women from weaker section of the society through implementing various developmental schemes where benefits were given to the beneficiaries through the following schemes such as Integrated Child Development Schemes (ICDS), Mukhya Mantrir Mahila Samriddhi Achoni, Financial incentive to Girls who married after 20 years, Unemployed allowances to Disable Person, Allowances to Family with Disable Children, Scholarship to Physically Handicapped Student, Rehabilitation Grants to Physically Handicapped Person, Protection of Women, Protection of Children, Destitute Home for Women, Deen Dayal Divyangjan Achoni, Deen Dayal Divyangjan Punor Sansthapan Achoni, Pradhan Mantrir Matru Vandana Yojona (PMMVY) , Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) and POSHAN Abhiyann etc.
Poshan Abhiyaan
POSHAN Abhiyaan or National Nutrition Mission, is Government of India’s flagship programme to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.

Poshan Tracker APP:-
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has rolled out Poshan Tracker application. The goal is to follow nutrition systems strengthening approach for improving maternal and child under nutrition, focused on strengthening implementation bottlenecks at all levels. The Poshan Tracker is built using centralized data architecture that also aligns with the digital technology systems of other ministries and programs.

CMAM- Programme
CMAM is a methodology for treating acute malnutrition in young children using a case-finding and triage approach. Using the CMAM method, malnourished children receive treatment suited to their nutritional and medical needs.
DPMU-Poshan Abhiyaan, Karimganj has implemented CMAM programme in the August-2021
